Once we establish initial contact, we engage in a straightforward and open conversation to better understand your care needs or the needs of your loved ones. During this dialogue, we aim to determine if Serengeti Care is the right fit for you. We want to ensure that our services align with your expectations and that we can provide the care and support you require

If we establish that our services align with your needs, we proceed to schedule an assessment. This assessment is a crucial step as it allows us to gather specific information about the care needs in question. Our experienced team will meet with you to discuss your preferences, routines, and any specific requirements you may have. Based on this assessment, we develop a detailed plan of care that will guide our caregivers in providing the necessary assistance.
After conducting the assessment and developing a plan of care, we will share our findings and thoughts with you. Transparency is a priority for us, and we believe that you have the right to understand the care plan that will be implemented. During this stage, we also discuss care start dates, care rates, and any other important details. Additionally, we will guide you through the signing of some required documents, ensuring that all essential paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
Once the care plan is finalized and agreed upon, we move forward with scheduling the care services as discussed. On the start date, our care supervisor will visit your home to introduce the assigned caregiver to you or your loved one. This introduction allows both parties to establish a rapport and ensures that you are comfortable with the caregiver who will be providing assistance. We understand that personal connections are significant in the caregiver-client relationship, and if you ever feel the need to change caregivers, the client care manager is readily available to address your concerns and facilitate a smooth transition.
We recognize that circumstances can change, and there may be occasions when you need to cancel care services. Should this occur, all you need to do is inform us by calling or emailing us. We understand that flexibility is important, and we strive to accommodate your changing needs to the best of our abilities.

Each Gift of Care is structured in 4-hour blocks. For every 4-hour block purchased, your loved one will receive 4 hours of in-home care from our dedicated caregivers. This structure ensures meaningful, uninterrupted support while allowing recipients to receive the full benefit of each visit.

Yes, the minimum purchase is 8 hours of care. This requirement ensures that caregivers receive fair and sustainable work, while also providing recipients with more effective care. Shorter shifts can be challenging to schedule and may not allow enough time to build rapport and meet the recipient’s needs.

Gift certificates must be used within 90 days from the date of purchase.

No, Gift of Care certificates are created specifically for the intended recipient and cannot be transferred to another person.

Gift of Care services are available in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana within areas where Serengeti Care operates. Please ensure that the recipient lives within our service area before purchasing.

  • A Client Care Manager will reach out within 48 business hours of purchase to schedule care.

Gift certificates are non-refundable, except in the following situations:

  • Recipient declines services
  • We are unable to match a caregiver to the recipient’s needs
  • The recipient lives outside our service area
  • A major medical or emergency situation prevents service
  • Unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or severe weather
  • We are unable to schedule a caregiver within a reasonable timeframe
  • Safety concerns prevent us from providing care in the recipient’s home

    How to Request a Refund:

    • Submit a written request to care@serengeticare.com within the 90-day validity period.
    • Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days.
    • If a refund is not issued, the gift certificate will expire at the end of the 90-day period.
  • If the recipient cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, the scheduled time may be forfeited.
  • If Serengeti Care needs to cancel, we will offer an alternative appointment.

  • Recommended: 24 to 40 per week. Care beyond four weeks might need regular programing

    Ongoing Support (Up to 6 Months):

    • Some parents may need occasional help with baby care, errands, and household tasks.
    • Suggested:16 hours per week (48 hours per month).

    Post-Surgery Recovery

    Support after surgery can help with mobility, meal prep, and daily tasks.

    First Week (Most Critical):

    • Patients often need assistance with daily activities and rest.
    • Recommended: 4 hours per day for the first 7 days (28 hours total).

    Weeks 2-4:

    • Gradual improvement may reduce care needs, but light help is still useful.
    • Suggested: 16-20 hours per week (48-60 hours total over three weeks).

    Weeks 5-6 (If Needed):

    • Occasional support for food prep and light housekeeping.
