The Mental Health Capable Caregiver Training is DSHS-approved instructor-led course designed for caregivers, resident managers, and providers within long-term care settings. Throughout this training, you will gain a foundational understanding of mental disorders and learn essential skills such as providing compassionate and trauma-informed care, supporting wellness, practicing self-care, suicide prevention, mastering communication dynamics, setting boundaries, addressing behaviors, and managing crises effectively. Approved by DSHS, this curriculum provides 8 hours of CEUs.
