in the begining
Once upon a time, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, a captivating region known for its natural beauty, two remarkable individuals found their inspiration in the wonders of life.
Josephine Mporokoso, MSN, RN, CPHQ and Dr. Albert Munanga, DrBH, MSN, RN, a married couple with backgrounds in healthcare, embarked on an extraordinary journey to establish Serengeti Care.
The Serengeti Care Journey
Before their path led them to this endeavor, Josephine and Albert had dedicated years to caregiving. They had witnessed both the joys and sorrows that come with providing care, not just for the clients themselves but also for their families and loved ones. This realization ignited a deep desire within them – they wanted to create a care agency that would go beyond the basics of hands-on assistance.
They recognized the distress and conflicts that often arise within families during the caregiving process, and the lack of reliability and competence among many existing agencies. Determined to make a difference, they built Serengeti Care on the belief that every caregiver should not only be thoroughly vetted, but also have their skills tested before joining the team. This would ensure that only individuals with a genuine caregiving spirit would be entrusted with the care of their clients.
From Caregivers to Care Innovators
Josephine and Albert also insisted on providing ongoing training for their caregivers, allowing them to stay abreast of the latest advancements and address emerging care concerns. They are committed to forging a genuine connection between caregivers and clients, believing that consistency and familiarity were essential for both quality of care and peace of mind.
To achieve this, they made it a priority to assign the same caregiver to the same client whenever possible and established the practice of frequent client supervisory visits to ensure exceptional standards were maintained.
Giving Back
Josephine and Albert firmly believe in open and honest communication. They understand the importance of sharing both successes and challenges with their clients and their families, fostering a sense of trust and partnership. They are driven by a profound desire to give back to their community, especially to the older generation that had contributed so much throughout their lives.
With heartfelt care and unwavering dedication, Serengeti Care is committed to providing exceptional support and companionship during the precious moments of life’s twilight.
Compassionate Care
In the spirit of the magnificent Serengeti, where every aspect of natural life harmoniously thrives, Serengeti Care was founded in 2016, on the principles of genuine care, unwavering professionalism, and a commitment to honoring the unique journeys of those in their care.
