Ellie Forbes grew up in Yakima, Washington, where her journey into home care was inspired by her developmentally disabled sister, Amanda. As a teenager, Ellie began volunteering with special education programs and the Special Olympics, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to compassionate care. In 1999, she started her professional career with Community Living as a caregiver, eventually gaining experience in both in-home care and adult family homes.
After a brief stint as a medical assistant, Ellie returned to her true calling in home care, where she advanced to become a branch manager for a Yakima-based agency. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she transitioned into a caregiver manager role, independently overseeing more than 2,000 care hours weekly and managing a team of over 120 caregivers.
Recently, Ellie relocated to the Seattle area and is proud to be part of Team Lynnwood at Serengeti Home Care. Outside of work, she enjoys hunting for beautiful rocks and has a passion for race cars.
Ellie brings heart, experience, and dedication to every role she takes on, and she’s excited to continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of those she serves.
