Melissa brings a diverse background to her role as Branch Manager, taking the opportunity to learn and grow while sharing her diverse experience with her team. After a 15-year career in finance, she returned to school during the pandemic, completing her AAS in Human Services and earning a certificate in Gerontology. Melissa found her calling in working with the aging and special needs populations.

Melissa transitioned into human services by using her analytical mind and operational expertise at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where she helped with the fundraising events and provided information to individuals living with or supporting people living with MS. She also worked as a provider for adults with developmental disabilities while finishing her degree.

Much of Melissa’s free time is spent volunteering at Oregon Donkey Sanctuary, where she serves as Director of Personnel and Operations, overseeing a team of more than 100 volunteers and assisting with the care of the donkeys in residence. Being in nature and educating visitors about these magnificent creatures fills her cup and brings her joy.
