I am a lifelong Washingtonian. I grew up in the small town of Woodinville. In high school I chose the Medical and Business career path. With a Business Certificate in hand and fresh out of high school, I landed a job with highly respected Pediatricians at Woodinville Pediatrics and their welcoming staff. There I continued Medical Billing and Bookkeeping for the next 10+ years.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Ranniger, a family physician, World War II Veteran, and a post high school teacher. One day he said to me “If you are eager to learn, I am willing to teach.”  I jumped at this amazing offer. I held the following positions:  Clinic Manager, Controller, Medical Biller, and Medical Assistant. We worked side by side advocating our patient’s care needs for the following 10+ years until his retirement of 50 years. I continued this work with his partner Dr. Giustozzi for the next 6+ years until her retirement.

For the next 8 years I worked for a Medical Billing company billing for multiple types of clinics. Including Family Practice, Dermatology and Behavioral Health. While keeping up to date with CMS requirements and compliance guidelines.

During the Covid Pandemic my mother heartbrokenly was diagnosed with cancer. I encountered the challenges of working full time and navigating the health care system for her treatment and care.

I asked myself “Who is going to be my advocate when it’s time I need care”?

Jessica, my coworker of 6+ years changed jobs and accepted a position at Serengeti Care. We shared multiple conversations as she expressed to me what a wonderful place it is to work and the need of my expertise. She spoke highly of Dr. Munanga and his wife, Josephine Mporokoso, RN and supporting staff. She also expressed the need for my expertise.

It has been just over a year since I began my journey here. I am honored to work alongside our diverse, compassionate, educated, and experienced team of professionals whose mission strengthens our communities and upholds exceptional standards of home care needs.

The answer to my question, “Serengeti Care.”

My interests are my family, my friends, and my PixieBobs (cat breed). I enjoy golfing in this beautiful scenic state of Washington.
